The FAME project proudly attended the DATAMITE Meet Up Event, held on February 6th at OTE‘s IT Innovation Center under the theme ‘Bridging Research and Industry in EU-funded Innovation’. This event gathered top researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to foster collaboration, accelerate data-driven progress, and shape Europe’s digital future.
OTE (Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation S.A.), Greece’s largest technology company and one of the top three firms on the Athens Stock Exchange, provided a prime venue for networking. The event brought together professionals involved in EU-funded projects alongside Europe’s leading innovators, creating a dynamic platform to explore the latest trends in data spaces, data monetization, and secure digital ecosystems.

During the meet up event, there were several discussion panels focusing on dynamic topics closely aligned with FAME’s mission, including:

These discussions provided valuable insights from top researchers and industry professionals in order to validate the viability of our proposed solution, which even strengthened our vision towards the federated decentralized and trusted data marketplaces. One key highlight during the meet up event was the participation of FAME partner John Soldatos (INNOV-ACTS LTD) in one of these panel discussions, in which he explored the opportunities of data-driven transformations in FinTech and how FAME’s key innovations can play a significant role in the sector’s future.
FAME’s Interactive Booth & Networking Success
FAME showcased its ambition and technology outcomes achieved so far through a dedicated booth, where FAME partner Pavlos Kranas (LeanXcale SL) presented the business concepts and technical enablers of our proposed solution. This interactive setup also allowed fintech telecom professionals to exchange ideas on monetizing data within the international data spaces ecosystem.
Moreover, the event strengthened FAME’s collaboration with its sister EU funded projects, opening new opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange.
