From October 22-24, FAME proudly participated in Bratislava Finweek 2024, a leading gathering of banking, fintech, and technology leaders to discuss current trends and the future of finance and technology. Held in the vibrant Slovak capital, the event served as an exceptional opportunity to present FAME’s cutting-edge solutions and to engage with leading professionals in the industry.
Spotlight on FAME
A key highlight was FAME’s presentation during the 13th MeetUp of FINAS (Fintech and Insurtech Association of Slovakia), where project partners were able to meet with fintech leaders from Slovakia and abroad. Delivered by project partners from the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA), the presentation focused on FAME’s Pricing Advisory Tool, an innovative solution designed to determine fair pricing for digital assets.
The session also sparked interactive discussions with fintech professionals about their views on the importance of various data asset characteristics in intrinsic value calculation.
Engaging with Key Stakeholders
The event attracted an impressive number of stakeholders from across the financial ecosystem, including:
- Slovenská Sporiteľňa, a bank exploring startup investments.
- WIOLP, emphasizing the power of data for future potential.
- Mountain Wolf, discussing cryptocurrencies in daily payment services.
- Dig Fin, exploring digitalized mortgage solutions.
- Peterka Partners, addressing fintech compliance and cybersecurity.
These diverse perspectives created ample opportunity for networking, collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Driving the AI Conversation
Another key moment during Bratislava Finweek 2024 was FAME partner John Soldatos’ (INNOV-ACTS LTD) participation in a panel discussion on AI in Finance. The panel explored the transformative role of artificial intelligence in the financial industry–both the opportunities for innovations that it offers as well as the challenges it poses, such as job displacement and transparency. John shared his insights and expertise on AI’s relevance in transforming and shaping financial ecosystems.
Bratislava Finweek 2024 proved to be a successful event for the FAME project, enabling meaningful disseminations of its innovations, tools and visions. Through thought-provoking presentations and dynamic discussions, FAME strengthened its network in the finance sector and demonstrated its role in driving the next wave of financial transformation.
