Sphereon Wallet Now Available Again on Google Play and the App Store
The FAME-compatible version of the Sphereon Wallet is once again fully available for download on both Google Play and the Apple App Store, restoring a seamless onboarding experience for all users wishing to join the FAME Federation.
What Happened
The Sphereon Wallet is the application used to access the FAME Data Marketplace and to complete the federation process. Following compatibility issues introduced in recent releases of the app, the FAME team was temporarily unable to support the latest versions available on the official stores.
As a workaround, we made an older APK build available for direct download — a solution that, while functional, was limited to Android users and required a manual installation process outside the standard app stores.
What Has Changed
The compatibility issues have now been resolved. The Sphereon Wallet works correctly again and can be downloaded directly from the official stores:
- Android: Google Play Store
- iOS: Apple App Store
iOS users, who had no viable workaround during the disruption period, can now onboard to FAME without any additional steps.
How to Get Started
If you are looking to federate with FAME and access the Data Marketplace, simply download the Sphereon Wallet from the appropriate store for your device and follow the onboarding instructions available on the FAME Marketplace website.
