By using strategically collected and processed data assets and different analytical tools from the FAME marketplace, Pilot 4 aims to facilitate opportunities for banks to offer complementary financing to SMEs, self-employed persons and corporates in need of financial products such as loans for co-financing/prefinancing projects, leasing, renting or financial guarantees.

Detailed description and Objectives

The advent of the Next Generation EU (NGEU) funds has led to an increase in public grants and therefore a unique opportunity for self-employed, SMEs and corporates to finance the twin (digital, green) transformation of their businesses. However, access to this public support is generally linked to the need to meet financial requirements and the availability of complementary funding. In fact, it is quite common that there is no pre-financing, so that beneficiaries are obliged to spend before receiving the aid, which is not economically feasible for some companies. As a result, beneficiaries are often forced to renounce the aid.

This pilot aims to create high-value, enriched data assets by processing them using advanced analytical tools within the FAME Marketplace. It also seeks to leverage the FAME Marketplace as a platform to securely commercialize these data assets to end users, such as banks or private investors, in the form of actionable recommendations.

FAME Applications

FAME will include an automated process integrated with an artificial intelligence tool that applies rules—extracted from PDF analysis—on an enriched dataset. The result is a monthly deliverable with detailed information on companies that have benefited from the main CDTI funding programs, which account for 85% of the institution’s budget. This output is made available to banks and investors on the FAME Marketplace as a downloadable dataset.
