Second General Assembly of the FAME project

July 12, 2023

The second General Assembly of the FAME project took place on 6 and 7 July in Caparicca, Portugal. During these two days, the results achieved so far were presented in order to align the next actions. The FAME (Federated decentralized trusted data Marketplace for Embedded finance) project, with a duration of 36 months, is funded by the Horizon Europe Programme of the European Union and is made up of 31 partners from fifteen European Union countries.

FAME is a joint effort of world-class experts in data management, data technologies, data economics and digital finance to develop, implement and launch a single, reliable, energy-
efficient and secure federated data marketplace for Embedded Finance (EmFi) to the global market. FAME will create a revolutionary marketplace that will overcome the limitations of centralised cloud marketplaces to unlock the full potential of the data economy. The project is based on a state-of-the-art data market infrastructure, the H2020 i3-Market, which will be enhanced with new functionalities in three key areas:

  • Secure and compliant exchange: FAME will enable secure, interoperable and compliant
    data exchange.
  • Decentralised trading and tokenisation: Using blockchain tokenisation technologies,
FAME will enable decentralised and programmable trading and pricing of data assets.
This includes support for accumulating the value of data assets in NFT.
  • Reliable and energy-efficient analytics: FAME will excel in its ability to perform reliable
and energy-efficient analytics, using innovative technologies such as Quantitative
    Explainable.

In addition, FAME will support the implementation of 7 pilots that will demonstrate its functionality and benefits in different domains
